American Space Effort–The FIX
NASA needs to wake to reality, x38, constellation, ventureStar and other programs would have worked if we would have stuck to them. This is true of the shuttle which WAS working a few months ago—-sticking to it/ politics is the problem. And the shuttle hardware is available even today.
The fix to this political problem and for our space program is SIMPLE—PUT DOD in charge.
I listed the advantages of DOD in an earlier article, there are many and very significant.
If we want to get a coherent/ stable effort underway, DOD is our only hope, otherwise we are stuck with what has been and is occurring, bad decisions and no decisions. The reasons for the political gridlock are obvious.
