  1. Email from ESD to Validate Receipt of Services

In November 2014, customers began receiving an email after an Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) request is fulfilled, asking them to verify the receipt of requested services. Customers have six days to respond, after which their organization's ESD approver will be sent an email requesting verification.

This updated verification process is critical to ensure the completeness and accuracy of billing for ACES services.

Click here to see the email customers will receive to verify ESRS services. The notice to org approvers is also available by clicking here.

Please contact the IRD Customer Support Center at 281-244-6367 if you have questions.

  1. Managed Elevated Privileges Continues

Users must complete SATERN training before submitting any requests for EP. All users, especially those scheduled for MEP deployment, are strongly urged to complete the SATERN training for "Basic Users" (Elevated Privileges on NASA Information System - ITS-002-09).

Users can coordinate with their supervisor, OCSO or organization's IT point of contact to determine the level of EP they may need beyond "basic user" and any additional training required.

This is the last scheduled deployment at JSC and completes this project for ACES Windows Machines.

For more information, go to the MEP website or contact Heather Thomas at x30901.

  1. Rededicate and Refocus - Back in the Saddle Event

Join us in the Teague Auditorium to hear the experiences of special guest speaker, Mark Rorh, on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 8:30 a.m.

Mark Rohr led Joplin, Missouri as City Manager on May 22, 2011 when the deadly EF-5 tornado destroyed one third of the city; claiming an estimated 161 lives injured some 1,150 others, and caused damages amounting to a total of $2.8 billion.

Based on Rohr's experiences, he wrote a book called "The Miracle of the Human Spirit." It's based on his journal entries during and after the disaster. The book gives readers a glimpse into the priorities, details and both heart-warming and heart-wrenching stories of devastation, survival and rebuilding.

Rohr joined League City as City Manager in March 2014 with 31 years of local government experience. Rohr held city manager positions in the cities of Piqua, Ohio; Punta Gorda, Florida; Washington Court House, Ohio; and Newton Falls, Ohio.

If you are unable to attend in Teague, watch the live-streaming event using the password "back2015".

  1. Job Opportunities

WHERE DO I FIND JOB OPPORTUNITIES?

Both internal Competitive Placement Plan (CPPs) and external JSC job announcements are posted on both the HR Portal and USAJOBS website. Through the HR portal, civil servants can view summaries of all the agency jobs that are currently open.

To help you navigate to JSC vacancies, use the filter drop down menu and select JSC HR. The "Jobs link", will direct you to the USAJOBS website for the complete announcement and the ability to apply on-line.

Lateral reassignment and rotation opportunities are posted in the Workforce Transition Tool. To access: HR Portal> Employees > Workforce Transition > Workforce Transition Tool. These opportunities do not possess known promotion potential; therefore employees can only see positions at or below their current grade level.

If you have questions about any JSC job vacancies or reassignment opportunities, please call your Human Resources Representative.
