Outrageous: Harry Reid!
The Democrats are so desperate to defend ObamaCare that they are willing to call the American people liars. That is going to backfire on them in November.

Harry Reid stood up on the floor of the Senate and claimed that all of the horror stories about ObamaCare are untrue: "Despite all that good news, there's plenty of horror stories being told. All of them are untrue, but they're being told all over America."

He went on to disparage the Koch Brothers for funding various ads of American people telling their stories of how they have been impacted by ObamaCare. He therefore called the latest ad I told you about yesterday of Julia the leukemia patient who lost her health coverage "false." He accused the Koch Brothers of trying to "buy America" and called them "about as un-American as anyone that I can imagine."

His comments immediately generated outrage. Hours later, Reid must have been feeling the heat because he issued this response on Twitter: "I can't say that all of the Kochs ads on ObamaCare are deceptive, but the vast majority are."

By the way, Harry Reid and the Democrats are up-in-arms over the Koch Brothers, as if what they are doing and spending is incredibly outrageous and down-right unacceptable. What they won't tell you is that Koch Industries ranks 59th on the list of American political donors. Want to guess who assumes the other 58 positions ABOVE the Koch Brothers? Most of them are unions, and most of them spend money on Democrats.

Anyway, it's pretty incredible that Democrats want to fight battles on ObamaCare based on deception and lies. How about the fact that the American people have been lied to from the beginning about the true nature of ObamaCare!...(continued)

Minimumm Wage Debate
Not all Democrats are convinced that we need to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. Remember that raising the minimum wage is a top legislative priority for DC Democrats this year. Last year that priority was gun control, and we know how well that worked out for them. We'll see if the minimum wage suffers the same fate.

But some Senate Democrats facing re-election, particularly in Red States, are concerned about the recent CBO report which said that increasing the minimum wage would cost the economy 500,000 jobs. That's not exactly a selling point for an American electorate that is struggling to find jobs.

Just like ObamaCare, raising the minimum wage is yet another job-killing policy that is politically lethal in an election year. It'll be interesting to see if Red State Democrats are ultimately willing to vote for liberal leadership policies, or if they will avoid supporting job-killing legislation, which could help their chances in November. Either way, Democrats' insistence on pushing job-killing policies will ultimately translate into bad politics.
