With the obvious interest in the space Shuttle evidenced during the flybys on way to museum, imagine the situation if media presented the facts regarding shuttle pros & cons considering the urgent needs of the USA security. It took 50 years to develop our capability & just a few months to destroy it.
Consider what the nation wide media covers and local also, much is pure garbage & adds little to the useful knowledge of the public
With in-depth coverage of the shuttle issues, the public would be in much better position to influence congress. Now , all they know is that NASA decommissioned the shuttle.
Evolve & use it is the correct answer. Consider how shuttle termination has & will affect the USA ' s security and achievements in space exploration
In the end media has failed the American citizens, and our progeny will suffer the consequences.
