Just looked it up on snopes.com . This is not true in the respect that the decision was based on a Presidential directive. It has to do with a regulation against active military speaking at "fund-raising events." The regulation has existed for quite some time.

We all need to check out rumors and such before we post about them. Our President has done enough to erode our freedom of speech without having to make up stuff, lol. If we keep spreading false stuff, it just gives the left more ammunition about how dumb, redneck and uneducated we are on the right. Eventually people will stop paying attention to the stuff that is true, a la chicken little and the falling sky.

How many times does Snopes need to be discredited????they are the most leftist web based entity in all the world...they would never discredit the Obama machine. they are not the final say in anything, only for fools that think the internet is where to find truth and facts!!!!
In my opinion, this sounds about like exactly what this Administration would do....regarding Christianity!!! I'm quite sure if this event took place in Fajalalalalala lululu, Sandpit, it would be OK!
And remember, according to the story, his commanders gave him the approval to speak, I’m quite certain they know the policies regarding this.....and not SNOPES!
