President Obama: Approve Keystone Today

Last week, President Obama was in Cushing, Okla., to announce that he would be "fast tracking" the approval and construction of the Keystone XL pipeline's southern portion from Cushing to America's Gulf Coast. While we're encouraged by the project's forward progress, the president must immediately approve the entire Keystone XL pipeline to bring more secure and reliable oil to the United States and help American consumers at the pump.
Approving the full project could help put downward pressure on pump prices by sending a strong signal to markets that more supply is on the way. Study after study has shown that Keystone XL is a safe, technologically advanced pipeline that will carry 830,000 barrels of oil per day from Canada and America's upper plains states—creating jobs, growing America's economy and strengthening energy security.
