| | | | | | | | | Is Obama "Temporarily Protecting" Terrorists? Yet again, President Obama and his administration are leaving our country vulnerable to terrorist attacks through their dangerous immigration system.
Last week, Judicial Watch reported that DHS is offering "Temporary Protected Status" to illegal aliens from Yemen (the headquarters for Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula).
In fact, last year a study by the RAND institute concluded that the most significant terrorist threat to the U.S. comes from Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
This revelation left one DHS official stunned, telling Judicial Watch that "the U.S. government has a 'total inability to screen, ID or verify the records,' of Yemeni nationals."
Officials have already charged over 60 people in the U.S. with alleged Islamic State activities. It's time we work to prevent future attacks, not foster them. | | | | | | Walker Walks Away News broke late yesterday evening that Governor Walker made the tough decision to suspend his campaign. "I believe that I am being called to lead by helping to clear the field in this race so that a positive, conservative message can rise to the top of the field," said Walker. "I encourage other Republican presidential candidates to consider doing the same so that the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive, conservative alternative to the current front-runner."
In a lot of ways Walker's exit does put pressure on other candidates to consider doing the same. Unlike Governor Rick Perry who was plagued by fundraising issues, Walker's PAC did have nearly $20 million as of the July filing. The latest CNN poll had Walker at under 1%. That put him ahead of Bobby Jindal, Lindsey Graham, George Pataki and tied with Rick Santorum.
Governor Walker's decision to leave the race does put his supporters in play for other candidates. It frees his donors to look for another campaign to support and, perhaps most importantly, might encourage other candidates to consider whether they really have a chance to win. | | | | | | | | | | | | |
