06/08/2015 17:19

30 years ago, June 8, 1985, 11:00 MSK, rescue vehicle "Soyuz T-13" with Soviet cosmonaut Vladimir Dzhanibekova and Viktor Savinykh, became friendly with uncontrolled "dead" station "Salyut-7" to restore its work.

Despite the fact that the docking in manual mode from the first failed Janibekov SAVIGNY and proven ability to provide principled close summarizing active ship type "Soyuz" to any object in space.

Vladimir Janibekov and Viktor Savinykh fully coped with the problem, despite the extreme conditions - at the station "Salyut-7" was not working even thermal control system. Temperature - minus 7 degrees Celsius, the water at the station turned to ice, and after a reboot of batteries, a new problem - the Ice Age gave way to "Flood". Meltwater threatened electronics short-circuit.

But in spite of everything, the station was again put into operation! And on June 23 to the "Salute" docked "Progress-24" with supplies for the crew and the station, and in September to Dzhanibekova and SAVIGNY on board were joined by Vladimir Vasyutino, Georgy Grechko and Alexander Volkov.

Vladimir Janibekov returned to Earth together with Georgy Grechko September 26, 1985 in a spaceship "Soyuz T-13." Viktor Savinykh landed with Vasyutin Volkov and 26 November 1985.
