of the human space program.\n\nGlynn Lunney is a recipient of the Metal o
f Freedom - awarded by President Nixon\, to the WHOLE Mission Operations T
eam” after helping return Apollo 13 back to earth safely. Glynn began h
is career with the space program in 1958 with the NACA and the Space Task
Group. He supported Project Mercury in Mission Control as one of the first
Flight Dynamics Officers in Mission Control and was named as a Flight Dir
ector in Aug. 1964 supporting Gemini and Apollo missions\, including Apoll
o 13. He also served as the technical director for the Apollo/Soyuz Test P
roject and manager of the Space Shuttle Program.\n\nBooks will be availabl
