Tell the BLM to Open Public Land for Energy Development
Dear Bobby,
Next week, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold public hearings regarding potential oil shale development in the Green River Formation in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. This formation holds an estimated 800 billion barrels of recoverable oil from shale—three times greater than the proven oil reserves in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, with 12 to 19 billion barrels of in-place oil sands and shale resources estimated in eastern Utah, access to these valuable, domestic resources can help put our country on the path toward greater energy security.
Take Action: Tell the BLM to Open Land for Energy Development
Allowing access to our domestic oil shale reserves would increase jobs and generate revenue here in America—supporting our still-struggling economy and paving the way toward a more secure energy future. Take action today and tell the BLM to make these lands available for domestic energy development.
Sincerely,
The Energy Nation Team
