Americans will not be as free when China controls space. Sadly, we have the vehicle in a museum. Politicans do not have enough foresight to see it coming. Media not interested for whatever reason. Our space capability should be increasing not decreasing, we have everything we need but the will. All experts say SLS/Orion will end in disaster.
Additionally, Orion has no payload return capability , dangerous ocean landings and costs the USA can't afford.
Strangely, none of the media will report on the facts about the shuttle safety/costs/schedule issues. Shuttle will come out as the way to go if fair assessment is conducted.
