Right on target---redog--comment to malkin article " nice guy no more"

Talk about dicouraged…. I’ve come to the conclusion that we will inevitably lose the country if we continue these silly political rear-guard actions against “Democrat policies”.
Right now the Obama administration is in overdrive actively soliciting people and organizations to take federal monies for all manner of “aid”. He is spending as fast as possible to inflate the debt as high as possible. Why? Keynesian stimulus? Please. America has no greater threat to her existence now than Barack Obama and the Democrat Party.
With every election, even ones with Republican gains, we lose more and more freedom and slip deeper into the cauldron of Communism or some other form of Euro-style Socialism If we hope to save the nation in a manner consistent with the rule of law, as the founders did, we need a dramatic shift in the way we fight.
That means building the Constitutional fiscal and budgetary firewalls necessary to stop the barbararian assault against America’s foundations. All the nuanced RINO political strategies are a complete waste of time. We must remove the current overwhelming public money incentive through a strict balanced budget amendment and fair tax system. Anything short of that and we are doomed, never to recover.
Odds of getting that done? Sadly, slim and none.

Add to that the fact that it’s looking like he GOP will keep the House, and I’m feeling energized for November!
It’s looking like the VP choice will be either Rubio, Martinez, Portman or Ayotte. Forget aout Condi. That was a misdirection play. 116 days and counting….

Actually, that is not a bad idea, at least in my mind. Have you read her book? Excellent read. Her only fault was underestimating the poisonous vitriol of the pompous Left. The incompetence and subversion of McCain’s staff was out of her hands.
Afraid of Hollywood and the Vichy Media lampooning her again? Like they aren’t ginning SNL and Leno skits as we speak, to attack whatever ticket emerges?

If what he is doing is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, he MUST be stopped. I can’t believe there isn’t SOMETHING in place to prevent this coup. What can be done? Do the citizens of this country have to literally storm the Capitol with torches to stop them? If so, we’d better get ready to do that! This is how nations fall. If principled leaders don’t stand in the gap, the rule of law fails, then the nation itself fails in quick succession. “Standing in the gap” means sticking out your neck and fighting the necessary public battles. Few Republicans have ever shown much stomach for the battles that matter. Look at Venezuela. No one thought it could happen here.

Now, fair or not, she is a punching bag. The butt of a joke. The embodiment of all the anti-intellectual stereotypes the Left lays at the feet of the right.
And she is incredibly unpopular. When she was still trying to cling to national relevance in the lead up to the Republican primary field taking shape, her favorability ratings were dismal. Like in the 30s, with her unfavorability levels over 50%. Why do you think she decided not to run? Some nonsense about “family first” or “can be more effective elsewhere” that every politician spouts when they’ve made the calculated decision they can’t win? Please. Well actually, that last one is true. She can be effective in targeted primaries where moderate Republican incumbent are facing a challenge. But that is it. She is no more relevant on a larger scale than any of the other Fox talking heads are.
The right has allowed its blind spot for “Mama Griz” to delude it into thinking that all the derision the left heaps upon her is some sort of elaborate, coordinated “don’t throw me into the brair patch” scheme. Trust me. It is not. There are VP candidates out there I think could be real game changers. Rubio for one, since I suspect he would lock up Florida and is vastly more intelligent and well spoken than Palin could ever dream. Portman if for no other reason than he could perhaps deliver Ohio.

Meh, she’s a media star and political pundit now unlikely to ever venture baci into a political career. I doubt She’ll ever again be anyone’s running mate, nor seek to run for president. She has it made better now than if no one outside of Alaska had ever heard of her.
Could be that maybe the Alaska GOP establishment and the Murkowski political machine had a part in getting McCain to ask her to be his running mate in order to get her out of Alaska for all the trouble she gave them. I doubt she was particularly liked by the leadership in her own state party.

Okay.
Were Romney to choose Palin as the VP (which he won’t in a million years, and with good reason) his campaign would be over, right then and there. Zero doubt. He might not lose quite as bad as McCain did in 2008, but the only difference would probably be Indiana.

I am not ashamed of one thing I have written on this matter.
Your guy got them killed Chap. And as a lawyer you should know that aiding and abetting multiple murders is a criminal offense; it is neither civil nor is it political.
You might want to consult your other psychic friends on what I am thinking and what my value systems are.
The fact that you are convinced my motivations are political provides a clear view into the core of what your being is. You allegation regarding my motivation is an insight into your soul, not mine.
And no I am not going let go of this one. There is no tolerance nor is there a statute of limitations on aiding and abetting a felon in the conduct of a capital crime.
The President, the head of DHS, the AG, and the Secretary of State are dirty as hell on this one. This is not lying under oath or having sex with a subordinate. This is not about covering up a burglary. Lots of people are dead and wounded, and the four people I mentioned made it happen.
They merit their day of reckoning.

From The New Republic:
At the Tuesday-morning meeting with committee staffers, Biden launches into a stream-of-consciousness monologue about what his committee should be doing, before he finally admits the obvious: “I’m groping here.” Then he hits on an idea: America needs to show the Arab world that we’re not bent on its destruction. “Seems to me this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran,” Biden declares. He surveys the table with raised eyebrows, a How do ya like that? look on his face.
The staffers sit in silence. Finally somebody ventures a response: “I think they’d send it back.” Then another aide speaks up delicately: “The thing I would worry about is that it would almost look like a publicity stunt.” Still another reminds Biden that an Iranian delegation is in Moscow that very day to discuss a $300 million arms deal with Vladimir Putin that the United States has strongly condemned. But Joe Biden is barely listening anymore. He’s already moved on to something else.
Yes, so much smarter. Genius, in fact.
