Fellow Conservative:
Ted Cruz is sending a clear message to Mitch McConnell and John Boehner: They can still stop President Obama's reckless Iran nuclear deal.
In a letter to the Senate Majority Leader and House Speaker, Senator Cruz outlined a three-step process to keep Iran from obtaining a nuclear bomb.
Senator Cruz said the Republican leaders should:
(1) Declare that the president has not submitted the entire deal to Congress as required by law;
(2) Pass a resolution stating that if the Iran agreement had been introduced as a treaty, it would have failed; and
(3) Tell the CEOs of the banks holding Iranian assets that they could face civil (and even criminal) penalties if they fail to uphold current sanctions.

"This three-pronged approach is the only course we can take to actually stop the release of more than $100 billion to the regime in Tehran, which is the world's leading state-sponsor of terrorism and which will use these funds to attack America and our allies," Senator Cruz said.
Unfortunately, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner appear to be more interested in following a process that allows them to blame the Democrats for this deal than one that will actually stop it.

Senator Cruz summarized the deal this way:
"The specter of a nuclear-armed Islamic Republic of Iran is the single greatest threat facing our nation, and if President Barack Obama's catastrophic nuclear deal with the mullahs goes forward, there will be nothing to stop them from obtaining a nuclear bomb."
The good news is that millions of Americans are rising up in opposition to the deal. In fact, tens of thousands gathered and watched the rally led by Senator Cruz in Washington on Wednesday.
Yet McConnell and Boehner don't seem to be willing to do what it takes to stop President Obama, Harry Reid, and the Democrats from pushing the deal through. They're more interesting in posturing than in getting real results.
