Gota start somewhere!!

Dear Bobby,  I have some worrying news. Even if conservatives prevail in November, liberals could still get their way in Washington. Here’s why: Over the last decade or so, and especially over the last few years, special interests have been setting up shop in Washington. They are entrenched on K Street, and friendly with lawmakers, bureaucrats and party officials. These special interest groups share with liberals one overarching goal--making sure big government, big spending and big regulations are here to stay. They want handouts, funded by hardworking American taxpayers, and will stop at nothing to make sure they continue to get their way. It's true. They have allied with liberals time and again to pass laws that increase spending and drive up the debt: Obamacare was actively supported by well-connected insurance companies. They even ran ads in support of this disastrous law, knowing that the individual mandate requires citizens to buy the insurance they offer. The unaffordable Medicare Part D entitlement passed in 2003 and was a handout to special interests who wanted more spending on drugs--paid for by you and me. If we don't check these special interests, it'll be more of the same in Washington--no matter who wins on November 6. That's why The Heritage Foundation is ramping up our efforts to fight the Washington Establishment to pave the way for real conservative reforms. We have set a goal of raising $200,000 for this fight on Tuesday, October 16. Learn more about this campaign and how you can join the fight on October 16. Parties and candidates change, but the Washington Establishment is a constant force, putting their political pressure and weight behind big government, big spending and big regulations. Find out how you can join the fight to stop them. Thank you for all you do. Onward, Edwin J.
