A simple question, why don't you support the commercial shuttle as outlined by Don Nelson, a former MOD engineer covered on his site nasaproblems.com?
The Nation desperately needs the capability of the shuttle. Cost & safety issues can be resolved. The present approaches SLS/Orion, COTS, are paper programs that have years of testing, and design fixes ahead of them and even when finally operational, have considerably less capability than the shuttle.
Thanks for listening, I sincerely believe we are making a terrible mistake in proceeding in the direction we are.
The USA must maintain preeminence in space. China will certainly fill the vacuum if we don't.
