Get USA out of UN

20 Republican Senators Are REFUSING To Oppose A United Nations Global Taxation Scheme That Was Intentionally Designed To Hand Over Our Sovereignty To The Third World.

Yes, we're talking about the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST)... a United Nations scheme that would impose a "global tax" on us and – as former-President Ronald Reagan said – force us to hand over "sovereign control of two-thirds of the Earth's surface over to the Third World."

Over our dead bodies... LOST must be stopped, and thankfully, Senator Jim DeMint agrees.

As a matter of fact, DeMint is championing the fight against LOST, and has already lined up the signatures of 27 Republican Senators who have pledged to oppose LOST; and since treaties must pass the Senate by a two-thirds vote, that means we are just SEVEN VOTES SHY of the 34  we need to doom the passage of this United Nations global taxation scheme.

But DeMint needs our help, because it's not going to be easy.

Just days ago, The Hill reported that Senator John Kerry is "bringing some big guns in" to persuade these 20 Republican hold-outs to stab you in the back before you're any the wiser.

There is not a moment to lose. It's time to pound these 20 hold-outs with the Blast Faxes of outraged Americans and make it crystal clear that our sovereignty is not  for sale. We do not kneel and pay homage to third-world despots, and we will not tolerate any GOP betrayals on something as basic as our God-given freedoms.

Who Are The 20 Republican Sellouts Who Are Refusing To Oppose LOST And Why Would They Even Consider Betraying Their Country?

But before we name names... you might be asking why any of them would even entertain the notion of stabbing the country, that they took a solemn oath to serve, in the back?

Oh, there are a number of reasons. Some of them, such as Senators Richard Lugar and Lisa Murkowski, simply swallowed the New World Order Kool-Aid long ago.

And since they've already accepted the maddening notion that we are all just citizens of one, big, happy world, they foolishly believe that ratifying the Law of the Sea Treaty would "give the United States a seat at the table."

Newsflash Senator Murkowski and Senator Lugar: The United States doesn't need anyone's "permission" to "sit at the table." The United States doesn't need anyone's permission to conduct business in free and open waters.

United States citizens and businesses don't need to pay a global tax to third-world, America-hating supranational organizations, and the United States most certainly doesn't need the Law of the Sea Treaty.

Here's another reason. While we would never want to impugn the integrity of a United States Senator, the plain and simple truth is that there are a lot of powerful people, special interests and large multi-national corporations that stand to BENEFIT from the United States ratifying LOST, and having powerful friends with deep pockets is a good thing to have come re-election time.

But, whatever the reasons... whatever the motivations... we've got some news for the New World Order lovers, the fence-sitters and the sellouts.

The United States of America is not a government OF the United Nations and powerful multi-nation special interests... BY the United Nations and powerful multi-nation special interests... and FOR the United Nations and powerful multi-nation special interests. The United States belongs to the hard-working and patriotic citizens of the United States... period!

And for those Senators that forgot, or are inclined to forget... we're going to give them a not-so-subtle reminder and flood their inner sanctums with an avalanche of your Blast Faxes.

We're going to remind them that when given the "opportunity" to voluntarily hand over our national sovereignty, impose a global tax on Americans, and cede control of the oceans and seas to an international, America-hating, United Nations front-organization... the answer, at least from Republicans, should be an unequivocal NO! ... There should be no hesitation... there's no need to "think it over" ... and there's most certainly, no need to inquire as to what they might get in the devil's bargain.

Here Are The Names Of The 20 Republican Senators Who Are Desperately In Need Of A Clue.

Here are the names of the "Republican 20," we can only hope that some of them, have the common sense to take their names off the list by jumping on board with Senator DeMint and the American people.

Lamar Alexander, Kelly Ayotte, Scott Brown, Thad Cochran, Susan Collins, Bob Corker, Michael Enzi, Lindsey Graham, Charles Grassley, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Johnny Isakson, Mike Johanns, Mark Kirk, Richard Lugar, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, Rob Portman, Olympia Snowe and Patrick Toomey.

But don't just hope.  You have the power to make them walk the straight and narrow... AND WE ONLY NEED SEVEN OF THEM.

Of course, some of these individuals are among the usual gang of RINO suspects and are lost to us (no pun intended).  Collins... Lugar... McCain... Murkowski... Snowe... don't hold your breath.

But far too many of them should know better, especially in an election year. And when it comes to their failure to sign onto Senator DeMint's letter pledging opposition to LOST, they have NO EXCUSE.

Again, we only need SEVEN of them to join Senator DeMint and pledge to stop this insanity called  LOST.

It's pretty simple. We want Harry Reid, John Kerry, Richard Lugar and the other United Nations lovers on both sides of the aisle to know they don't have the votes to pass the Law of the Sea Treaty.

And once they know they don't have the votes, they'll scuttle LOST and we can put this threat to our sovereignty behind us once and for all.

Make no mistake, they have the power to stop LOST TODAY and you have the power to make them exercise that power. All you have to do is reach out to them, and the time to do that is now, before John Kerry's "big guns" have the chance to twist any more arms and make any more deals.

"It Is Global Socialism. It Is World Government... It Is A Trap."

Phyllis Schlafly wrote the quote above about LOST some time back, and the fight over LOST is certainly nothing new.

30 years ago, right after he took office, the elites slammed LOST on Ronald Reagan's desk.  Those who know what's best for all of us demanded that he sign it.

But Reagan drew a line in the sand and said that LOST would become United States law "over my dead body" ... and it was no exaggeration... he meant it.

As a matter of fact, Reagan was so passionate in his opposition to LOST that, he showed everyone who was in charge and made it a point to FIRE the State Department personnel responsible for promoting this treasonous treaty during the Carter Administration.

If you really want to know what is wrong with LOST, Reagan summed it up best back then: "No national interest of the United States can justify handing sovereign control of two-thirds of the Earth's surface over to the Third World."

According to Carrie E. Donovan of the Heritage Foundation, Reagan had three major objections to LOST.

First, he objected to the International Seabed Authority (ISA), an organization designed to "shake-down" United States mining and maritime companies by requiring an "application fee" of $500,000, an "annual fee" of $1 million, and a percentage of profits - up to 7 percent. Moreover, US companies would have been required to share sensitive and proprietary technology with unfriendly nations. And yes, as a direct result of these "fees," the ISA would have had the effective power to tax American citizens.

Second, Reagan understood the true purpose of restricting the world's supply of minerals by limiting access to the sea floor. It was to force nations (read that, us) to buy more from land-locked and often unfriendly third-world countries.

And third, he objected to the establishment of a United Nations-style court to rule the waves and rule against the USA.

And LOST is still a poisonous treaty. If we ratify it:

LOST would instantly become a permanent part of United States law and America would immediately surrender control of the free oceans and seas to the International Seabed Authority (ISA)... a United Nations front organization.

The ISA would have the sole power and authority to issue "permits" for fishing and drilling and mining operations at sea. In other words, if we wanted to drill for oil under the ocean, we'd have to crawl on our knees, tin cup in hand, and beg for permission from a gang of America-haters.

And even U.S. fishermen would have to come to ISA, hat in hand, and plead for the right to cast their nets into waters that have previously been open to all fishermen.

Unlike Barack Hussein Obama, Reagan regarded himself as President of the United States rather than Savior of the Third World. He wasn't willing to surrender an inch of American sovereignty and would never condone forcing Americans to kneel and pay tribute to a bunch of third-world despots.

And we know today what President Reagan knew then. If this treaty is approved by the Senate, Americans will surrender freedoms they can never regain and we must act now to preserve our freedom and our sovereignty.

All Hail The International Seabed Authority.

If LOST is ratified, the International Seabed Authority would have the power to impose taxes on the people of the United States. The ISA will call them "assessments," "fees," and "permits," but they would be taxes that American businesses... and therefore consumers (that's you) would be forced to pay to third-world despots.

Oh yes, that cost of doing business will be passed along to you. How much do you pay in taxes now for such exploration? Not one penny.

Can you see any reason why Americans should be forced to pay a United Nations style bureaucracy to do something we now do for free? Of course not.

But that's not all. This treaty from hell would not only tax Americans, it would also imperil our national security.

LOST would empower the International Seabed Authority to cripple the United States Navy - one of the most powerful forces for good in the world today - and leave us vulnerable to attack.

It would forbid our Navy from gathering intelligence in waters proximate to our nation's enemies.

U.S. submarines would have to travel on the surface in those same waters.

And we would be obliged to share our intelligence with the International Seabed Authority, where it would be funneled to Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and other tin-pot lunatics around the world - all of whom have vowed to destroy the Great Satan.

Today the United States Navy can go anywhere in the world, not only because it is the most powerful force afloat, but because it enjoys the respect of virtually every nation. Why surrender this power and freedom to an inconsequential, international cabal of America-haters?

We live in a dangerous world, where tiny nations like Iran and North Korea have nuclear weapons programs and would have no qualms about incinerating one of our cities to please whatever brutal gods they worship.

If we approve this treaty, we might well be signing a suicide note.

Lest You Think We Exaggerate, Or Have LOST Our Minds; Here's What Other Respected Conservatives Say About LOST.

Ed Meese, Reagan's Attorney General, and William Clark, his National Security Adviser, once called LOST "a dramatic step toward world government" and warned us against "the increasingly brazen hostility of the United Nations and other multilateral institutions to the United States and its interests."

James Malone, President Reagan's Special Representative for the Law of the Sea Conference and Chief of the Delegation, said about LOST: "The Treaty's provisions were intentionally designed to promote a new world order - a form of global collectivism known as the New International Economic Order (NIEO) - that seeks ultimately the redistribution of the world's wealth through a complex system of manipulative central economic planning and bureaucratic coercion."

Oliver North once said: "LOST also opens the door to a long-sought U.N. goal: the redistribution of wealth by taxing Americans. The International Seabed Authority (ISA), a bloated, multi-national bureaucracy headquartered in Jamaica, has the mandate to distribute revenues and 'other economic benefits' on the basis of 'equitable sharing criteria,' taking into account the interests and needs of developing States."

Steve Groves, of the Heritage Foundation, an expert on LOST, wrote: "In addition to needlessly exposing itself to baseless environmental lawsuits, the United States would be required to transfer billions of dollars in oil and gas royalties...to the International Seabed Authority for redistribution to the developing world."

Senator Jim DeMint said: "This treaty would subordinate American sovereignty to the United Nations, impose an international tax on U.S. energy production that would raise costs for American families, and act as a backdoor Kyoto Protocol that could allow foreign nations to regulate U.S. energy emissions."

Forbes columnist Larry Bell reported that "as much as 7 percent of U.S. government revenue that is collected from oil and gas companies operating off our coast would be meted out to poorer, landlocked countries."

Tad Cronn, the editor in chief of The Patriots Almanac, wrote: "The treaty, which was endorsed by the former Soviet Union, would reduce our military power, rob us of rights over our own coastal resources, subject U.S. actions in international waters to the authority of foreign countries and submit our country to an international taxing agency that would 'redistribute' our wealth to other nations, including some of our enemies. ... As for increasing our national security, only a liberal could think that joining a treaty that requires us to give away secrets and our best technology to foreign nations that may use it against us is a way to secure the country."

But conservative icon, Phyllis Schlafly still may have said it best: "It is global socialism. It is world government... It is a trap!"

We could tell you that LOST is an Obama power-grab, but that would be a bold-faced lie. In actuality, it's an Obama power-giveaway... a treasonous attempt to sublimate the United States to the global community.

It should be obvious that this treaty was designed with one purpose is mind: to cripple and rob the United States of America and we're not about to let that happen.
