Lack of political will to maintain the Nation's leadership in manned spaceflight

Lack of political will to maintain the Nation’s leadership in manned spaceflight

Reading The Case to Save the Shuttle, On the Early Retirement of the Shuttle, and the Nonsensical Retirement of the Shuttle, it is clear that politics scuttle the shuttle. Mr. DeCastro makes it clear that the administration, ASAP and Bolden, Garver were all involved in the decision to retire the shuttle at a time when the Nation needs it to get a return on the investment in Hubble, ISS and to maintain the USA supremacy.

Looking at obama’s and Garver’s background, neither of them believe in USA supremacy. Hard to say about Bolden, guess the fact he didn’t resign says it all.

A very disgusting situation for the shuttle and American leadership.
Guess it is a sign of the time.
